This summers camp program will provide children with a chance to learn, run, jump, play and create all summer long. Along with our strong Montessori base, our sessions will include yoga, stretch and grow, Spanish lessons and a hands-on approach to art, song and dance, physical fitness and dramatic play.

Session 1 June 23-July 3
Living with the Dinosaurs/ Now we’re Cooking

During the first week of camp we’ll let our imaginations wonder as we take a step back in time to when the dinosaurs roamed the earth. Throughout this exciting week we’ll explore some of the fascinating myths and facts about that time in history. Then grab your apron and rolling pin as we mix, measure, stir, and whip up some of your child's favorite foods. We will help them learn how to follow simple recipes, kitchen safety “rules” and to develop a love for the culinary arts.

Session 2 July 7 - July 18
Rainforest Adventures/ Planes Trains and Automobiles
Students will mark their passports for an adventurous trip to a lush and mysterious rainforest. Throughout this session we will take a look at rainforest ecology and take part in potting and growing our own tropical plants. The second part of this fun session we will travel by land, sea, and air (in our imaginations) to explore some of the many different types of transportation. Your child will launch their own handcrafted airplane, and test their skills to see if they can make a paper canoe float on water.

Session 3 July 21 - August 1
Dive into the Ocean/ Science Fun
Your children will become oceanographers for a week, exploring the ocean depths and the life within. We’ll take a look at marine biology and create crafts featuring some of the creatures we’ve been studying. Next up its time to explore the wonderful world of science. We will make it snow in August, bend water, and other science experiments to engage our campers mind.

Session 4 August 4 - August 15
Move to Music / ARTastic creations
Jump right into the next two weeks by letting your child's creativity and expression flow freely. We will be giving your child ample opportunity to explore the many aspects of art, music and yoga. During these weeks it is our hope that your child gains a greater appreciation for the arts with all of the fun filled activities we have in store. From crafts to creations, your child will be able to explore the medium of art.

Session 5 August 18 - 22
Moving into Montessori
Moving into Montessori will be a wonderful introduction to the 2008-2009 school year. Your child will have an opportunity to explore the materials and familiarize him/herself with the Montessori classrooms environment. As well as learning their role in a Montessori classroom. For those children that have never been to school or are joining us after a long summer this is a great time for children to socialize with their peers and become familiar with the school.
